Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, widely referred to as Wizkid has recently been announced as the winner of the Artiste of the Year in the 14th edition of the 2021 Headies award.

Wizkid, the father of three emerged the winner of this category following keen contest from other notable names on the list.

The Artist of the Year category comprises;

Tiwa Savage

Recall the organizers of the Headies award were reported to have sent a private jet to Ghana to pick Wizkid up for the event tonight.

Although Wizkid is one of Africa’s biggest and most decorated artistes, he still has those who arguably is more than him.

Recall Wizkid release his album “Made in Lagos” last year. In less than four month after the release of the Made in Lagos album, Wizkid has now taken home the artiste of the year award.

In fact, some fans who have now been tagged Wizkid FC, preoccupied with the amplification and defence of anything Wizkid online can now hit the social media street to celebrate this with Starboy.

I tried to kill myself two times. I was really depressed - Tiwa Savage Confeses

Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage has recently confessed in a video of attempting to commit suicide on multiple occasions.

The songstress revealed in an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on ‘Bounce Live Radio’ where she disclosed that she nearly took her own life after she was bullied as a black kid in London. She said she moved to London with her mother at age 10 and also stated that her strong Nigerian assent was being mocked by her friends in school.

In her own words: “I was teased so bad. They used to call me ‘African girl’, ‘Foo foo’, ‘Your food smells’ and so on. It was terrible. It was so bad that I literally tried to kill myself two times. I was really depressed.”
