No Matter How Dirty Your Toilet Is, Do Not Ever Mix These Two Things That Can Kill
~1.1 mins read
The importance of keeping our toilets clean cannot be overlooked. We make use of the toilet daily and it will be a very odd thing to relent in keeping it's environment clean and safe from any possible stain or odour. It is also important for you to note that no matter how dirty your toilet is, never mix these two things to wash your toilet, it can kill;
1. Never mix bleach with any detergent
Bleach no doubt is a good cleaning agent and one of its dangers involves what happens whenever you mix it with other household chemicals like toilets washers, glass sprays, etc.
Bleach contains sodium hypochlorite and when combined with any detergent can cause the release of a dangerous gas known as Chlorine gas.
Chlorine gas can cause chemical pneumonitis, a condition identified by coughing, difficulty in breathing, the feeling of not being able to get enough air, and chest burn. It can also cause ear, nose, and throat irritation, and repeated exposures can lead to inflammation and lung stiffness, causing respiratory failure and possibly death.
So it is not advisable to mix your toilet bleach with any of these detergents and even if you must, a nose mask is preferable and would protect you from inhaling this dangerous gas that can distort your breathing process. Your health should come first, do not risk it!

ASUU Gives Update On Reopening Of Universities
~1.0 mins read
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said universities in the country will not reopen until the Federal Government honours the agreement it struck with the union.
ASUU National President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, stated this while speaking at a town hall meeting at the African Hall, the University of Ilorin.
Ogunyemi insisted that the agreement must be honoured, before the federal government makes any announcement on reopening of universities.
He made it clear that ASUU would unfold its next agenda, if the government refuses to negotiate the 2009 agreement signed by both parties.
“I think it is better we wait. When we get to that bridge, we will cross it.
“I can’t open our strategy here; whatever you do is about strategy; let the government refuse to negotiate, we will unfold our strategy then,†Ogunyemi said.
According to him, ASUU went on strike since March, because of the government’s insensitivity to university education in the country.
Ogunyemi said some of the union’s demands included funding of university education, which the government had reneged on in the last 10 years.
“There is a deliberate attempt to kill university education in the country. Some universities use stoves in their laboratories instead of burners and buckets to fetch water to perform experiments; it’s as bad as that,†he said
