1. Your brain generates about 12-25 watts of electricity. This is enough to power a low wattage LED light bulb. While this may sound weird knowing that your brain can do this, it is 100% true.
2. About 750ml of blood pumps through your brain every minute. Our brain is 73% water. It takes only 2% dehydration to affect your attention, memory, and other cognitive skills. The human brain consists of 60% fat, making it one of the fattiest organs in the body. The most surprising thing about this fact is that it generates 73% water which means that, more than half of the composition of the brain is water.
3. The amount of information the brain can store in its many trillions of synapses is not infinite, but it is large enough that the amount we can learn is not limited by the brain's storage capacity. This means that our brain has a limit in what it can take in, many people think that the brain does not have a pilot but this is not true.
4. It was found that the average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those thousands of thoughts, 80% were negative, and 95% were exactly the same repetitive thoughts as the day before. This means that most of our daily thoughts are negative and a great part of it are what we've already thought about.
5. We are aware of a tiny fraction of the thinking that goes on in our minds, and we can control only a tiny part of our conscious thoughts. We are not aware of most thoughts that goes on in our minds.
