Advice For Jambites 2020
~2.4 mins read
I DID JAMB CHANGE OF COURSE OR INSTITUTION OR BOTH OF THEM BUT IT IS NOT REFLECTING ON THE SCHOOL PORTAL YET FOR MY POST UTME OR DIRECT ENTRY REGISTRATION

Read below!

It is always advised that once a candidate has seen their Jamb score and desires to change their choice of course or institution due to low score or any other reason, they should hurriedly do that on time to enable the changes to reflect on their new choice of institution on time.

If you've successfully processed and printed your Jamb Change of Course or Institution form recently on the JAMB portal but when you visited your school portal to continue with their post UTME registration, you're receiving an error that your information is not on the portal or in the school's database or that your JAMB registration number is not recognized, this could mean that:

JAMB has not sent your details to the school yet. Usually, JAMB will wait for enough students to do changes before they send the new list to the concerned universities, polytechnics, or colleges of education. They do these a couple of times before the school's post UTME ends.

OR

The school has not uploaded or updated your information received from JAMB on her database. Schools might have got your information from JAMB, but it usually takes a few days for the ICT to get all uploaded for the candidates to continue with their registrations on the school portal.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE THE CHANGES TO REFLECT ON THE SCHOOL'S PORTAL?

It can take as long as 24 hours or a couple of days. Going by the explanation above, you should be rest assured that sooner or later, your information will definitely reflect. A school that will not allow change of institution again will definitely inform you while on the JAMB portal for the change of institution. You will get a prompt message like "This institution is no longer accepting new candidates". As a result, you won't be able to effect the change to the school.

If you're able to do the change of institution or course on the JAMB portal, it means the school concerned have agreed to accept the changes in the first place, and will definitely update her database for that new changes.

And to answer your question, it usually takes a few days, weeks, or months depending on how much time the school has to end her registration.

Change of institution or courses made on JAMB portal reflects immediately on the JAMB portal but may take a while before it reflects on the concerned school portal.

A school that has a couple of days to end her post UTME application, will be quick to update the portal within a few days of your changes. A school may take enough time if she has weeks to the end of the exercise or has plans to extend the sales of form. This will allow them to upload at once those who had changed to them in the past few weeks.

For your jamb change of course DM me..

Natural Hair: What Is Hair?
~1.5 mins read
Natural hair series 101: WHAT IS HAIR?????

HAIR is a non-living body structure composed primarily of a protein called KERATIN that is produced by organs within the skin called HAIR FOLLICLES.????️
It is also a protein filament that grows from hair follicles found in the DERMIS.
(Okay too much grammer right ????,I'm not teaching biology but they are important to know so we'll learn from scratch and won't get confused???? ????)

PARTS OF HAIR
A). HAIR SHAFT: the part of the hair follicle that fully exits the surface of the skin. It consists of the cuticle, cortex and medulla. The CUTICLE is the hair's outer protective layer and how it lays determines what your porosity is. Followed by the CORTEX which is responsible for giving hair it's strength and durability and it determines the colour of hair because it contains melanin. Lastly is MEDULLA which is the innermost region of the hair shaft and is not always present.

B). HAIR ROOT: the part of hair embedded in the hair follicle. It has a whitish colour and can be seen when hair sheds anywhere in the body.

C). HAIR FOLLICLE: the part where hair grows from.

????Are we following ????...( who's making noise at the back????)

D). DERMAL PAPILLA: the part that contains arteries which supplies blood that regenerates the hair follicle and nourishes the hair.

E). SEBACEOUS GLANDS: small oil-producing glands connected to the hair follicle that secretes an oily or waxy substance called SEBUM which lubricates the hair and skin.

F). ARRECTOR PILI: a tiny muscle connected to each hair follicle and the skin. When it contracts,it causes the hair to stand erect and a "goosebump" forms on the skin.

So that's all for today's class????????...hope we all learnt something????(tell me what you learnt in the comments section below and contribute)

Will continue tomorrow,do well to share this post with family, friends even your enemies ???? so we'll all learn together.
