LOOK AT THESE ANIMALS THAT LOKK ALIKE
~7.2 mins read
Hey guys today I'll be showing you some animals that look similar to each other. But before we start please kindly click on the follow button up there.
leopard vs Jaguars
The leopard is one of the five extant species in the genus Panthera, a member of the Felidae. It occurs in a wide range in sub-Saharan Africa, in small parts of Western and Central Asia, on the Indian subcontinent to Southeast and East Asia.
The jaguar is a large felid species and the only extant member of the genus Panthera native to the Americas.
Crocodile vs Alligators
Alligators have U-shaped faces that are wide and short, while crocodiles have slender almost V-shaped muzzles. ... Crocodiles on the other hand flash a toothy grin with their top and bottom teeth interlacing. Many of the differences between the two center on their heads and mouths.
Hedgehog vs Porcupines
A hedgehog is any of the spiny mammals of the subfamily Erinaceinae, in the eulipotyphlan family Erinaceidae. Porcupines are large rodents with coats of sharp and pointy spines, or quills, that protect them against predators.
Lizards vs Salamanders
Lizards are a widespread group of squamate reptiles, with over 6,000 species, ranging across all continents except Antarctica, as well as most oceanic island chains. Salamanders are not dangerous to humans, they are shy and cryptic animals, and are completely harmless if they are not handled or touched. Handling any salamander and then rubbing your eyes or mucous membranes has the potential to cause irritation and discomfort.
Dolphin vs Porpoises
Dolphins tend to have prominent, elongated “beaks†and cone-shaped teeth, while porpoises have smaller mouths and spade-shaped teeth. ... Generally speaking, dolphin bodies are leaner, and porpoises' are portly. Dolphins are also more talkative than porpoises.
Frogs vs Toads
You can tell most toads and frogs apart by the appearance of their skin and legs. Both amphibians make up the order Anura in the animal kingdom, but there are some key differences. Most frogs have long legs and smooth skins covered in mucus. Toads generally have shorter legs and rougher, thicker skins.
Cheetah vs Leopards
Cheetah have spots where leopards have rosettes. The spot of a cheetah is a clear, single, black spot separated from the other spots on the cat's body. A leopard however, has smaller irregular shaped spots that group together in circles to form rosettes. Have a look at the photographs below to see the difference.
Butterfly vs Moths
Moths and butterflies both belong to the order Lepidoptera, but there are numerous physical and behavioral differences between the two insect types. ... While at rest, butterflies usually fold their wings back, while moths flatten their wings against their bodies or spread them out in a "jet plane" position.
Bees vs wasps
They look like they are shiny and have a smooth body surface. Bees on the other hand are "plumper" than wasps. Bees are also hairier and their back legs are flatter. Bees have a pollen basket on their hind legs while wasps do not.
Centipedes vs Millipedes
Millipedes have two sets of legs per segment positioned directly under their body. Centipedes have one set of legs per segment positioned on the side of their body. Centipedes mostly eat insects after killing them with their venom.
Octopus vs Squids
Octopuses live in dens on the sea floor, while squids live in the open oceans. Octopuses use their eight sucker-lined arms to capture their prey and move about on the ocean floor. Squids have eight arms lined with suckers and two specialized tentacles that they use to reach out and capture prey.
Tortoise vs Turtle
Tortoises have more rounded and domed shells where turtles have thinner, more water-dynamic shells. Turtle shells are more streamlined to aid in swimming. One major key difference is that tortoises spend most of their time on land and turtles are adapted for life spent in water.
Falcons vs Hawks
Falcon, any of nearly 60 species of hawks of the family Falconidae (order Falconiformes), diurnal birds of prey characterized by long, pointed wings and swift, powerful flight. The name is applied in a restricted sense, as true falcons, to the genus Falco, which numbers more than 35 species.
