10 Best States To Choose For NYSC, To Make Money Or Get A Job After NYSC
~3.6 mins read
Lagos
We know most of you expected this to be our number one, and here it is. It is a little bit overflogged that Lagos is the number one destination for intending corp members, but it’s just the fact. Lagos is hyped, and if not overhyped, but it is worth it and more.

The reason why Lagos continues to be on top of the list of 10 best states to choose for NYSC, and to make money or get a job, is quite obvious.

One, Lagos is the commercial center of Nigeria. It is where most, or approximately more than 50% of the country’s business transactions occur. Most businesses in Nigeria have their head offices in Lagos. It is home to Nigeria’s largest seaports, airports, markets, buildings and population.

Two, due to having Lagos as the commercial center of Nigeria, it is easier to get jobs here. Most graduates can attest to it that over 60% of job opportunities in Nigeria are found in Lagos. You’ll want to serve and get a job along with it.

Three, in most places in Lagos, cost of living is cheap. We aren’t talking of all these highbrow areas like Lekki or Banana Island. It’s actually easy for a corper to survive in Lagos than some other Nigerian cities. Food is very cheap in Lagos. Clothes, electronics, transport and housing are cheap in most places.

Four, Lagos is home to the elite of the elites in Nigeria. As a youth corp member, you may meet someone that know someone who knows someone, you may never know. In fact, to show you how good Lagos is, 75% of Nigerian dollar billionaires live in Lagos.

Lagos is a great choice if you’re about making decision on the states to serve. It will give you most of the things you require as a corp member. However, Lagos is the most difficult to get among our 10 best states to choose for NYSC, and to make money or get a job. Lagos is so competitive as most corp members choose Lagos as their number one choice.

To get Lagos as your state of service is very difficult.

It is worthwhile to serve in Lagos as there are more benefits in this state than in most other states.

State Salary/Allawee: Lagos State Government pays an average of 10,000 naira monthly. Nevertheless, if you are posted to some private workplaces called Place of Primary Assignment (PPA), you can get paid as high as 70,000 naira and an average of 30,000 naira.

Ogun
On our number two is one of the largest state in Nigeria, Ogun State. Due to its nearness to Lagos, the state gets lots of investments, companies and businesses. The businesses in Ogun State are largely factories and places of production along Sangotedo, Igbesa and Agbara axis of the state.

Pink lips improves your appearance and also shows your lips are healthy. Chapped lips looks ugly and terrible. If your goal is to have those pink, luscious lips, then you have come to the right place. I will show you four ways to get a luscious ,pink kissable lips. Before I go further ,I want you to know that for you to achieve your goal, then you have to be consistent and determined

Have you ever wondered what causes dark lips. Well, some of the main causes are  excessive exposure to direct sunlight, an allergic reaction, use of low-quality cosmetics, chewing tobacco, excessive smoking, high caffeine intake, and hormonal imbalance among others.

Ways To Get Natural Pink Lips

Pink lips can be achieved naturally or artificially but achieving them naturally is the best. Artificial ways include plastic surgery, scrubbing, or peeling, which can seriously harm your lips in the long run so if you are wise, you won’t even go for the artificial method.

Method 1: Scrubbing:

One of the best ways to achieve pink lips is by scrubbing. Sugar scrubs are best known for their efficiency in exfoliation. The good thing is that scrubbing exfoliates your skin. This dead cells often  gives your lips an unpleasant appearance.

How To Apply: Put 1 tablespoon of brown sugar in a small bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of honey to it. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. Apply the scrub over your lips with your finger. Lightly massage it on your lips for 1 minute. The massage not only helps with exfoliation, it also improves blood circulation in the lips, making them healthier and lighter with time. Leave the scrub on your lips for a few minutes before washing it off with plain water.
Repeat this remedy 2 or 3 times a week until you see noticeable results.

Method 2: Pomegranate Seeds and Milk:

Pomegranate seed lightens the lip and milk is also good for the lips. Pomegranate  contains  punicalagin which prevent the production of melanin and prevents your lips from getting darker due to sun exposure.

How To Apply: Take a handful of pomegranate seeds and grind them. Mix the fine pomegranate seed with some milk cream. Apply this mixture onto your lips. Leave it to dry for about 15 minutes. Wash off with cold water.
Repeat this daily for about one month continuously, and you could notice your lips become pinker and fuller too.

Method 3: Raspberries, Aloe Vera and Organic honey:
Raspberries are great because  they contain vital minerals and vitamins that keeps your lips healthy and vibrant. Raspberries can turn dark lips into rosy pink lips. Strawberries can also be used in place of raspberries Aloe Vera is a soothing ingredient, which helps with chapped and irritated lips. It also stimulate growth of new skin cells
A lip scrub made from raspberries, aloe Vera, and organic honey, can really help to make your lips pink naturally. Let’s see how to prepare this natural scrub:
How To Apply: Take equal proportion of few raspberries, aloe Vera gel, and organic honey in a bowl. Blend them well to make a paste. Apply this paste to your lips with a gentle massage. Leave it for about 20 minutes before you wash it off. Wash of with cool water and pat dry.

Method 4: Lemon and Almond Oil:

Lemon is a natural bleach, wonderful skin-lightening agent and a great toner. It can reverse the effect of the sun and lighten the pink naturally
Almond oil prevents your lips from drying out. It hydrates the lips and gives even complexion. Almond oil is a great moisturizer.

How To Apply: Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil. Mix the two thoroughly with a spatula or your finger. Take a little of the almond oil and lemon juice mixture and lightly massage it on your lips. For best results, leave the mixture on your lips overnight.
Repeat this process every night for 3 to 4 weeks to notice a significant change.

Note: Lemon and sugar can also be used to get pink lips but one needs to be careful because lemon is acidic in nature, and not all skin types will adjust to its nature. If you experience any irritation while using this remedy please discontinue the use.

How To Apply: Cut a thin slice of lemon and sprinkle some sugar on it. Rub this sugary slice on your lips for a couple of minutes. Soon you will notice that your lips will begin to get lighter.
Repeat this remedy once in three days for best result.

Some Useful Tips
• Never lick your lips
• Commercial lip balms often contain dangerous chemicals
• Always use a good sunscreen to protect your lips from sun damage and keep your body hydrated.
• If the darkness of your lips is genetic, there may not be much that you can do about it.
• Smoking darkens lips

So folks ,it’s possible to get pink lips by using the methods stated in the article . Drinking lots of water and juices keep your skin soft and moisturized. Water nourishes the skin and helps in growth of new skin cells. It behooves you to drink 8 glass of water everyday .Its easy to get pink lips but maintaining it is hard . Wear lip balm always.

GAMBLE IN FOUR YEARS

MAYORKUN: Davido’s best gamble in four years
December 5, 2020

 965 787

THIS feeling, it’s so amazing I don’t even know how to describe it. I’m the proudest big brother, friend, and fan right now bro. God bless your hustle. continue to shine! God willing I will always be there to support! DMW for life. Sold out the Indigo 02!” were the words of Davido in November 2019 when Mayorkun sold out his first show at Indigo O2 in the UK.

Be it Banky W and Wizkid, ID Cabasa and Olamide, or Don Jazzy/D’Banj and Wande Coal, several artists in the Nigerian music industry started out with an experienced and trusted adviser that showed them the way.

And such is the story of David ‘Davido’ Adeleke and Adewale ‘Mayorkun’ Mayowa Emmanuel.

In 2016, a 24-year-old Davido took a gamble with a 22-year-old to begin his own imprint, Davido Music Worldwide. At the time, the move was seen as a gamble because Davido, who had made a name for himself and dumped his family record label, HKN, was all out to do everything his way and according to his rules.

Four years down the line and it won’t be wrong to say Mayorkun remains Davido’s best gamble in the last four years.

In 2015, Davido released a hit song, ‘The Money,’ featuring Olamide. The song inspired Mayorkun and he decided to do a cover of the song. The cover song video caught Davido’s attention on Twitter in February 2016. An intrigued Davido decided to follow Mayorkun on the microblogging site after which he made contact with him. Davido asked if the singer, songwriter, and pianist could do more than play the keyboard and that was how the story of a budding singer began. After sending some of his works to Davido and a few details agreed, Davido announced Mayorkun as the first music act on his Davido Music Worldwide.

Making music from a house of movies

It’s no longer news that Mayorkun’s parents are top players on the Nigerian movie scene – the Yoruba speaking arm of the industry.

Mayorkun was born on March 23, 1994, into the household of popular actress, Toyin Adewale and her husband, Sunday Adewale. He is the first child of three children of the entertainers. Mayorkun grew up watching his father and mother on television until his dad decided to take a back seat and concentrate more on production and directing.

His parents were Christian devotees and Mayorkun, alongside his siblings, were nurtured in the way of Christ. At a young age, Mayorkun had joined the choir where he learned the rudiments of music. Despite his brilliance in singing and playing the piano, Mayorkun’s parents insisted he had to complete his education before being given the opportunity to do music professionally. To this end, Mayorkun graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Lagos.

“It makes me proud and I am happy about it. I never knew Mayowa will go into music. He used to be a junior choir master while in the choir, but never knew he would go this far because he has always been a very quiet, easy-going person. He is not a loud guy, but you know God’s ways are not our ways, so when he started, I became very happy and proud of him. Initially, I was very afraid, I didn’t even give him my blessing, I said I have been in the entertainment industry for a long and I know what it entails, so I didn’t support it. It was his father who said Toyin, let’s give him a chance, he studied banking in school. So, I was like why not go and work with your certificate then do music alongside but my husband convinced me. So, we decided to give him our blessings, and today to God be the glory,” Mayorkun’s mum said about her son’s success in an interview.

Before grabbing fame and fortune, Mayorkun had a job working with a bank. He was working his 9-5 with the hope of working through the ranks to become a branch director. However, his decision to do a cover of Davido’s song after plans to quit the job and seek another changed his story. After joining the lavish 30 Billion Gang led by Davido, Mayorkun released his first single, ‘Eleko’.

Mayorkun’s first release under Davido’s DMW proved that Davido had hit the jackpot and was in for the long haul. Eleko’s video proved Davido’s belief in Mayorkun was neither a fluke nor one chance. The music video gathered a million views in the first 10 days.

He went on to release singles like Yawa, Sade, Che Che, and Mama. In October 2018, he released singles “Posh” and “Fantasy” featuring Olu Maintain in anticipation of his first studio album titled “The Mayor of Lagos”.

Two years after signing with Davido and releasing over six chart-topping songs, Mayorkun released The Mayor of Lagos on November 16, 2018, to announce his entry. On December 1, 2018, the album debuted on the Billboard World Albums chart, peaking at number 15.

In 2020, while many Nigerian music acts were battling with the adverse effect of COVID-19 and unsure of how or when their works will be released as a result of the lockdown, Mayorkun pulled a surprise on his peers, colleagues, and contemporaries with an Elongated Play entitled ‘The Geng.’

With nine music awards including Headies Next rated, Mayorkun proved to be a brand worth placing a bet on. 2020 saw him release top chatting songs that include Geng, Of Lagos, and Betty Butter.

His recent collaboration on Davido’s The Best proves that Davido is smiling to the bank with Mayorkun on his side four years after signing the dotted lines in their music contract.

Unlike the incidents with his cousins, B-Red and Sina Rambo, which saw him dumping HKN, Davido has continued to count his blessings after signing Mayorkun

NPFL will keep suffering with wrong people in charge, says Gara-Gombe
December 5, 2020

 747 503

Former Gombe Football Association Chairman, Ahmed Shuaibu Gara-Gombe, has said that the rescheduling, again, of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) till next week was a result of having wrong people managing the league, which he said was inimical to the growth of the country’s football.

The 2020/2021 NPFL season earlier rescheduled to start this weekend was unexpectedly moved again.

According to a statement on Thursday, Club Owners’ scribe said the league was being postponed to allow clubs playing in CAF club competitions to complete their first-round games so that all teams could begin the season at the same time.

This is, however, in contrast with the standard in much-developed leagues in Europe where the dates for the new season and fixtures are kept religiously while alteration on some match fixtures are done only when the need arises.

Speaking with The Guardian yesterday, Gara-Gombe wondered why the league should be postponed. He opined that since the administrators knew there was going to be CAF club competitions this weekend, they ought not to have picked the date for the start of the league.

“The questions I have for them are: Are they telling us that they don’t know that within this period, there are going to be CAF competitions? Because I know the fixtures for the competition had been ready for almost three months now.

“Do they want to tell me they are not aware that CAF competitions were going to be in place? That is what you get in terms of club performance when the league does not end and you declare champions so that the highest bidder will just go and play in the continental championships. This is also what you get when you have people with a questionable character running your league,” he said.

Gara-Gombe also spoke about other issues on which the League Management Company has failed to offer satisfactory explanations to the public.

He said: “We were in this country when Super Sports came and agreed to sponsor the league before they exited. Up till today, we’ve not been given any reason(s) why the LMC didn’t take them to court to explain why Super Sports stopped?

“Glo, our own telecom company with all what they have done for Nigerian sports, especially football, also exited from sponsoring the league and nobody told Nigerians what happened. Or is the LMC not supposed to inform us about what really happened?

“As I speak to you, the Sports Minister gave the LMC money to kick-start the league. They have spent the money and they have not started the league. When the minister asked why they had not started the league, they said the money had finished; that they used it to settle debts.

“The LMC debts will never finish. I keep on saying that in as much as we don’t jail one or two persons for corrupt practices, nothing is ever going to change in Nigerian football. The former Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, had the opportunity to change it, but failed because he compromised

Cavani was a wrong choice for Man Utd
December 5, 2020

 820 600

Ian Wright has criticised Manchester United’s transfer strategy and says the signing of Edinson Cavani sums up their scattergun approach of ‘plugging gaps’ rather than signing stars.

The Red Devils endured a frustrating summer transfer window, failing in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho before a frantic deadline day full of last-minute deals. Chief among them was Cavani, who had been a free agent for months before moving to Old Trafford, while they also signed youngsters Facundo Pellistri and Amad Traore.

‘When you look back, you can go as far back as Henrik Larsson, they bring in that kind of maverick forward just to kind of plug gaps,’ he said on the Kelly & Wrighty Show. ‘You’ve got Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Radamel Falcao, now they’ve got Ighalo even and Cavani
