~1.9 mins read
Lady Adanma Okpara, wife of the Premier of former Eastern Region, Dr Michael Iheonukara Okpara has reportedly died at the earlier hours of Sunday, August 22, 2021. She would have been 97 by 21st December, 2021.

Family sources who revealed that the nonagenarian has been sick for a couple of years said she died after a protracted illness.

Although her second son, Chief Uzodinma Okpara could not be reached for detailed information leading to the sad news as of the time of filing this report, but informed sources said she died at an undisclosed hospital.

However, a visit to the Umuegwu Okpuala, Ohuhu country home of the Okparas at 4 pm on Sunday, showed that the unfortunate incident may have shocked their kinsmen.

Umuegwu Okpuala, Ohuhu is in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.

Few family members were on hand to welcome the sympathisers who had come to ascertain the veracity of the news. Uzodinma Okpara, an Abia State-based politician, was absent at the time our reporter visited.

Willian 'Likes' Chelsea's Instagram Post Celebrating Their Win Over Arsenal
~2.2 mins read
Arsenal fans would not have liked watching Chelsea outclass them in their own back yard.

Unfortunately for Gunners’ supporters, one of their own players did like their 2-0 defeat – literally.

Former Chelsea and current North Londoners winger Willian has landed himself in very hot water, after liking a Chelsea social media post celebrating the win.

The Brazilian did not even make the Gunners bench for the contest, which saw a debut goal from Romelu Lukaku, and a powerful Reece James strike secure a comfortable three points for The Blues.

Needless to say, Arsenal supporters are not pleased with the 33-year-old.

Mikel Arteta’s side are currently in 19th position after back-to-back 2-0 defeats to Brentford and The Blues.

Only Norwich City are holding them up, as The Canaries have a worse goal difference thanks to 3-0 and 5-0 defeats to Liverpool and Manchester City.

Arteta looked like he was carrying the weight of the world in his post-match interview with Sky Sports.

"They were the better team. When they play at their best, which I think they did today, they are champions of Europe,” said an evidently disappointed Arteta.

Serie A: Osimhen Risks Ban In Italy
~1.0 mins read
Victor Osimhen risks being banned for a couple of matches in the Serie A this season after an awful incidence on Sunday during Napoli's game against Venezia.

The Nigerian striker was shown a straight red card for a supposed punch on Venezia defender Daan Heymans.

The despicable incident happened barely 23 minutes into the Serie A season opener at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

A corner was about to come in and Osimhen was infuriated with the somewhat rough man-marking from Heymans.

Osimhen appearedt to have shove the defender away, but in so doing he turned and caught Heymans on the throat with a fist.

This was considered to be a punch and the referee opted for a straight red card.

While Osimhen is sure to miss Napoli's next against Genoa next week, there are fears he may still get a longer ban.

This is the second time that Osimhen has been sent off in the Napoli jersey.

Recall that during the Europa League win away to Real Sociedad in October 2020, Osimhen got the matching orders after a second bookable offence.

Osimhen who contributed 10 goals and three assists in his debut season with the Partenopei in 30 competitive appearances for the club was hoping for an improved performance this term.
