American Billionaire, Bill Gates Donates $6 Billion To Charity

American billionaire, Bill Gates has given a staggering $6 billion to charity.

A report by Business Insider revealed that the billionaire philanthropist gave $5.2 billion worth of his stock in Canadian National Railway Co. to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, as stated in SEC filings.

He also went ahead to give $995 million worth of shares in Deere & Co, an American company that manufactures agricultural machinery and heavy equipment to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

According to the report, another $3 million set of shares was moved from the billionaire’s investment vehicle, Cascade Investment L.L.C to Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Despite all his distribution of wealth, the billionaire is still among the top 5 billionaires in the world.

Last week in a post on Twitter, the billionaire pledged to give $20 billion to the charitable foundation this month alone and went further to say that he intends to give away virtually all of his wealth in the future.

In the tweet he stated:

“As I look to the future, I plan to give virtually all of my wealth to the foundation. I will move down and eventually off of the list of the world’s richest people.

“I have an obligation to return my resources to society in ways that have the greatest impact for reducing suffering and improving lives. And I hope others in positions of great wealth and privilege will step up in this moment too”.

The foundation also announced its intentions to increase the annual donations to $9 billion by 2026 and intimated the public about the contributions of fellow billionaire, Warren Buffet.

Peter Obi Is A Young Man Who Is Passionate About Development —Babangida Speaks

Peter Obi is a young man who is passionate about development —Babangida speaks

“He is a young man, but he is passionate about development, passionate about our Nigerianness,” Babangida disclosed. “From then, we kept contact for a long time. We talk to each other and so on.

“So, it is only fair that when he decided to be the president or a candidate, he should come and let me know. That’s the essence of the relationship. It’s like ‘don’t read it in the papers, I am going to run.’ And whatever advice I have, I will give it to him based on my own experience. Hopefully, that will help him to mobilize all of you.

Babangida shot straight from the hip when asked to categorically respond to the notion that he, Obasanjo, Abdulsalami, Gusau and Abdullahi were the unseen hands behind the Peter Obi candidacy, saying the group had been actively involved in Nigeria’s current shot at democracy right from its embryonic stage in 1998.

“I am hearing it now for the first time from you,” he told the two media executives. “Somebody sent me what Sowore said. That Obasanjo, Abdulsalami, Aliyu Gusau, Ango Abdullahi and myself are promoting Peter Obi. But I’m glad that the answer you said they gave Sowore was that he was jealous.”

Babangida shredded the veil, last week, in Minna, in a rare interview he granted The Crest CEO, Shola Oshunkeye, and Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The New Xpress newspaper, Steve Nwosu.

There Is No Government In Nigeria —Governor Samuel Ortom

There is no government in Nigeria —Governor Samuel Ortom

“If they can threatening our Predident who is safe? I had raised the alarm before now warning that if we do not take decisive action against these bandits and terrorists they might one day attack the seat of power like it happened in Afghanistan and they resorted to abusing me. But we all can see what is happening now.

“We must note that ISWAP, Boko Haram, ISIS and Fulani herdsmen are all the same thing and they are being sponsored, let no one deceive us.

“How can you explain to me that the Federal Government does not have the might to tackle these terrorists. I saw the video of how the abducted train passengers including women and children were being whipped and I wept. What is their sin? This should not be happening in my generation. What is happening to our country?

“Are you telling me that there is no military or security agencies to rescue these people? Where has this type of thing happened in the entire world? In America they will not allow their own to remain in the hands of kidnappers just as they did in Niger, they went and rescued their own, why can’t we do the same thing for our own people?

“And somebody will tell me that there is a government in this country. There is no government in Nigeria today. Those people who are deceiving the President that he is doing well are all criminals.

“They are deceiving him; the President must know that all is not well and he is not doing well as the President of Nigeria.

The President is not living up to the oath of office he took when he was assuming office as President.

“The President must know that Nigerians are not happy, Nigerians are crying, Nigerians are in pains, Nigerians are suffering. The economy, security and the social life of our people have all gone down the drain.

“Nigerians are now praying that if it were possible, this government should take us back to the 2015 era and Nigerians will be happier.

“Truly this government has taken Nigerians from top to bottom, but instead of leaving us at the bottom the graves of the people are being dug with this unending insecurity which is claiming the lives of the people.

“I know that I would be insulted for saying the truth, but I will continue to say the truth. You must give Nigerians genuine change to make life better for the citizens of our dear country Nigeria that is the only time I will stop talking.”

2023 Presidency: It's between Tinubu, Atiku —Governor Sule

“He is not even popular in Nasarawa State, so I don’t know of the nation,” the governor said of LP’s flagbearer Peter Obi.

Sule added, “At the national level, based on what we read, there are four political parties that are strong, definitely the APC because we are the ruling party, the PDP because they have an excellent candidate.

“Peter Obi was at one time a governor so he is there also alongside Kwankwaso’s party.

“If you look at all these candidates, with all sense of humility, there are only two candidates at the top and they are Asiwaju and Atiku Abubakar,” Governor Sule opined.

While stressing that he is not writing off Obi and Kwankwaso, the governor however, asserted that the two will find it very difficult to break through.

“Going in they will do very well, I have no doubt in certain regions, but to have the national spread is going to be very difficult because its people who move political parties, not just the name or the individual at the top.”

In buttressing his point, the Nasarawa State governor said he is is certain that the only way Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso could have staged a huge upset was if they had earlier merged their parties.

At The Photo Studio Epd3
~1.1 mins read
The weekend lasted longer,it was cumbersome. Fixed my bike, went shopping and ran errands non-stop for Mom.
It is Monday. My first day into the journey of photography, very much anticipated,I had woken up early that day,I didn't even sleep at all;prayed, brushed, bathed and dressed up fine,I looked at the mirror and admired my self. "Fine man,a model you are".
Zoom off I go.
"Good morning sir".
She stepped aside ushering me in like a King, she never stopped smiling sheepishly.
I smiled back, bowing a little.
"You can call me 'Andy' and not 'sir' ,am a small boy"
She smiled even more and not taking her eyes of me "Iam Vicky, nice to meet you"....
I shook hands with the guys,Allan,Raph and Victor, they are really nice guys,I felt the warm welcome. The photo studio is one of the biggest and finest in town, that is why I chose it. No regrets.

One of the staffs, known as 'big show', he's never smiling, always too serious,I already started disliking him as he's fond of ordering everyone around.
I was asked to get acquainted with my environment, the guys showed me around and taught how to do some other cool stuffs. I was enjoying myself.
But this gurl will not stop stealing glances at me and smiling at every thing I say.
Uhm same Rude Madame English.
Wait!...did I just smile back at her.

No na! Andy focus!
