How Long Should You Keep A Sheet Mask On?
~1.5 mins read

How long should you keep a sheet mask on?

Sheet masks are one of the best ways to pamper your skin at home. The thin sheets are soaked with essence, which helps to refresh, hydrate and also give an instant glow to your skin. Unlike the regular face masks, they don't need to peeled or removed with water and the sheet fibre helps to penetrate the essence better into the skin.

One of the biggest myths of applying a sheet mask is it that applying it for long will give better results. This can actually have a negative effect on your skin. Most of the sheet masks come with directions, which suggest how long they should be applied. The time range of almost every sheet mask is between 15 to 20 minutes.
Applying sheet masks for more than that can cause a reverse effect, as the sheet will start soaking in the moisture and essence from the skin. Once you feel the sheet is getting dry, then it's the best time to remove it. After removing the sheet mask, you don't need to wash your face as you will let go of all the essence. Just, pat on the essence left and let it soak in.
If the essence left on the skin is too sticky, then you can simply use a tissue paper and gently tap to absorb the extra essence.

Breaking News: Colleges Of Education Lecturers Declare Nationwide Strike
~1.2 mins read

According to a report by The PUNCH, the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union has directed its members nationwide to immediately withdraw their services.

The lecturers accused the Federal Government of failing to provide outstanding N441 billion resulting from the recieved NEEDS Assessment of the Federal Colleges of Education.

The President of COEASU, Nuhu Ogirima, made this known during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.

He said, We have directed our members nationwide to withdraw their services with effect from today (Thursday).

It is quite evident that the unions agitation is an existential struggle geared towards revitalisation of the COE system. As the main entity for the training of the teachers and managers of the foundation level of the nations education system, the sustained neglect of COEs portends a grave implication for the development of the entire educational system.

So, the union hereby formally declares that all options are open for an industrial action against the Federal Government and some notorious state governments. The public should take notice that the NEC shall reconvene shortly to unveil the series of measures that the union shall take towards bailing the COE system from the doldrums and further decadence inherent in the wanton neglect by the government.

According to him, several efforts through correspondences to get the Federal Government to attend to the demands of the FCsoE in Nigeria failed to yield results.

The COEASU President also alleged that Federal Government had been manipulating academic staff salary with the imposition of the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System; unilateral stoppage of payment of academic staff on sabbatical leave; imposition of non-negotiated Personal Income Tax and over deduction of payable amount of Contributory Pension Scheme.

~1.0 mins read

A Federal High Court in Abuja has struck out the suit against persons charged over the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest.

The Trial Judge, Justice Obiora Egwuatu, on Tuesday, struck out the suit following an application by the counsel to the Attorney General of the Federation, M. D Abubakar, to take over and discontinue the suit.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, who was represented by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation (DPPF) Mohammed Abubakar had at the proceedings announced the exercise of his power of section 174 of the 1999 Constitution to take over the case from the Inspector General of Police. After granting the request by Justice Egwuatu, the AGF proceeded to request the invocation of the same section of the Constitution to discontinue the trial of the 119 accused persons.

Following no objections to the request from various lawyers representing the accused persons, Justice Egwuatu granted the request and struck out the charges. Although the accused persons were not in court, the judge ordered their immediate release from prison.

President Bola Tinubu had on Monday directed the AGF to terminate the charges against the accused persons, most of who are said to be minors and prohibited by law from facing such trial.
