SALES AND DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS

Sales and distribution companies are highly regarded as a successful business industry in Nigeria.

The sales and distribution business is more like buying and selling products and services. However, the difference between ordinary buying and selling and distribution is in the amount you buy and the amount you sell to people.

The business is usually capital intensive. If you don’t have enough capital to become a distributor; negotiate with manufacturers. And start marketing your products. From here, you'll find your way to becoming a reseller of your product.

Here are some business ideas for sales and distribution in Nigeria:

1. Bags Water packaging and distribution

Sachet water distribution and packaging companies are profitable and one of the most successful companies in Nigeria.

To start this business, you need sterilization and packaging machines, water storage tanks, bus or truck distribution, and more. Therefore, this business requires a lot of capital.

If you have little capital and are passionate about this business, you can form a partnership. Partnership with people who share your interests. Those with a passion for the packaging and water distribution business of Sackets.

In the meantime, you can start small-scale bag packaging and distribution and then grow it into a bag and bottled water packaging and distribution industry.

2. Import activities

The import industry involves the purchase of goods from other countries and the profit in Nigeria. Exchange rates affect the import business.

Electronics are widely used in Nigeria. You can see where you can buy and start electronics in China.

You can start a small-scale import business (mini-import) and then become a large importer of different products. You can start important some gadgets and electronic devices.

3. Cosmetics

Cosmetic companies sell fast because all women and young people want to look good. This is a company you can consider starting if you have capital.

The start-up of capital may vary depending on the point of access to the business. But with N400,000 - N1000,000; you can start a cosmetic sector on a medium scale.

You can start on a small scale and then become a big cosmetics industry. The cosmetics industry produces and distributes cosmetics.

4. Okrika Bale Business

Companies from all over Ukraine are thriving very well in Nigeria due to a weak economy. An average income earner in Nigeria barely enters the store on behalf of buying first class clothing. Therefore, the Ukrainian bullet business is a good business to start anywhere in Nigeria, but especially in urban and rural areas. Lagos, Aba, Kano and Onitsha have a good market to buy clothes bales.

The working capital for this company may vary. It’s up to you, but you can start with a small capital of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) to two hundred thousand naira (N200,000). You can start Okrika bullet business and then become a best selling business in Nigeria.

TRANSPORT BUSINESS

The transportation business is one of the most successful sectors in Nigeria. Here are some transportation ideas to Nigeria.

5. Taxi transportation company

Taxi companies are fast moving companies in Nigeria. The large population of Nigeria has done just that. You can get up to N20,000 a day as a taxi carrier if you are in big cities like Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kano, Abuja and many other cities.

You don’t have to have a taxi stop; you can make a rental purchase if you have little capital. You can sign a deal or drive for someone out on the street when you go to buy your own taxi.

You can start with a small-scale taxi transport (1 or 2 taxi papers) and then turn the business into a large transport company.

6. Tricicle Company or Keke Napep

There is a sudden rise in Keke Napep, the tricycle company in Nigeria, following a ban on the use of motorbike-rich cities in Nigeria. People who make money with a tricycle company are the ones who hand out a tricycle with the rental purchase.

You can buy rental if you don’t have money to buy your tricycle. Just as it is done with taxi transportation, you can start with small tricycles on a small scale and turn it into a large transportation company.

Breaking News: UNILAG Crisis: Buhari Asks Babalakin, Ogundipe To Step Aside
~1.5 mins read
According to PREMIUM TIMES, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the pro-chancellor and the embattled vice-chancellor of the University of Lagos to step aside while a special panel investigates the crisis rocking the university.

The publicist of the ministry of education, Ben Goong, confirmed this to PREMIUM TIMES Friday.

The special visitation panel set up by the president is expected to submit its report within two weeks, Mr Goong said.

The president also directed the Senate of the school to convene to nominate an acting vice-chancellor form among its members for the confirmation of the university’s council, state-owned NTA reported.

The interim head is expected to act until the government reaches a resolution.

Following the controversial sacking of the ‘incumbent vice-chancellor’ of the University of Lagos, Olawatoyin Ogundipe, the university has been locked in a leadership quagmire.

The council led by pro-chancellor Wale Babalakin had accused Mr Ogundipe of mismanagement of funds, a basis for which he was sacked and Theophilus Soyombo appointed acting vice chancellor.

Displeased about the move, Mr Ogundipe filed a case at the Lagos Industrial Court urging the court to nullify and set aside his purported removal.

His counsel, Ebunolu Adegboruwa, however, later told PREMIUM TIMES on Friday that the case had been withdrawn.

“Indeed, upon detailed consultation with all stakeholders and his supporters in and outside the University, Professor Ogundipe directed his lawyers to file a notice of discontinuance of the suit and this has been done on August 21, 2020,” he said.

“This is to defer to the authority of the president as the visitor of the University as Professor Ogundipe has enough time to challenge his purported removal.”

The president, who is the visitor of the university, has therefore appointed a seven-member committee to investigate the controversies in the school.

Members of the panel include Tukur Sa’ad as chairman, Victor Onuoha, Ikenna Oyindo, Ekanem Braide, Adamu K. Usman, Jimoh Bankole and Grace Ekanem, NTA reported.

View pictures in App save up to 80% data. For the French men, the UEFA Champions final would definitely be a historic and remarkable one as it would be their first time to battle for the prestigious trophy at the final stage of the tournament as they take on the Bavarians on Sunday, 23rd August 2020; 8p.m at Estadio da Lus in Lisbon.

The French side(PSG) had comfortably eliminated Leipzig in the last round although previous elimination stages were somehow narrowly escaped by the Thomas Tuchel's side. Howbeit, Sunday marks a historic moment for them as they look forward to creating their first record of stepping to the finals for the first time and lifting the cup for the first time. The French side seem to have lifted all four of their domestic title trophy but Sunday's match is really a significant one to them as they would want to come out in their outstanding form once again.

With regards to fitness, the French side is fully okay and ready for Sunday's tie against their rival. However, the team seems to be more concerned over some players that may likely not play due to injury especially the likes of Kurzawa( thigh injury ); Gueye( muscle injury ); K. Navas( thigh injury ).

K. Navas would make a better option considering his experience and knowing fully well the deadly strikers their rival has got. However, Sergio Rico would still make a good replacement since he is yet to concede a goal after he replaced K. Navas in the quarter to Semi-final.

Generally, changes to the squad is unlikely as Tuchel would rather keep it mildly unchanged. Below are the possible line up against the Bavarians;

Paris Saint Germain- Rico; Bernat, Kimpembe, Thiago, Kehrer; Herrera, Marquinhos, Veratti; Mbappe, Neymar, Di-maria.

Possible formation- 4-3-3

Squad- Unchanged.

What are your thoughts on this possible line up?

Please Help. Is The Condition I Gave My Girlfriend Too Harsh?
~2.6 mins read
Nairalanders, I want you to judge if the conditions I gave this girl is okay or it is too much

I met this girl around June this years. I really liked her. As I was asking her out, I was always taking care of her. Buying her stuffs, giving her allowances and supporting her. Then the relationship started last month officially when we smashed. I continued to take good care of her. But note that before we officially started dating, she showed half interest. She wasn't really into the relationship. When we started dating, she showed same attitude.

Her much elder sister is a hair dresser. Like 7 years older. She lives with the sister. The sister shop is in one hidden corner. They hardly get customers. So both of them are always broke. I have being supporting them. This month, their rent is expiring. They intend to move to a better location. The new shop is N75k per year. My girlfriend asked me for support. I said I will give them N50k by August end. Since they were expecting N50k from me, they gathered all the money they have home and abroad and paid advance of N30,000 for the new shop to secure it. Last week, my girl asked me for N7k for something. I told her I don't have. I am gathering money for the N50k. It is a lie sha. the money is already there.

She then asked me to borrow her. She will pay me back. So I gave her. By weekend, she was acting funny. I told her I am tired of the relationship. She should forget it. It turned to quarrel. Then she left. We quarreled on phone till Monday. I think they felt bad that I am leaving out of the deal to help them secure the shop. On Monday, the sister called to quarrel with me too. Imagine.

After everything, today, my girlfriend called to apologize. I told her that I have forgiven her. But, for our relationship to continue, there is one condition. She asked me what condition. I told her that despite the fact I have being supporting her and her sister, both of them still had the gut to talk to me anyhow. I will only continue the relationship if I will be having sex with the 2 of them. She was shocked. She wanted to start talking nonsense. I told her to shut up and relay my condition to her sister. Let the sister call me to tell me if she agrees.

Is my condition too harsh or it is okay?

Sacked UNILAG VC, Ogundipe, Withdraws Suit Against Babalakin
~1.1 mins read

The sacked Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Toyin Ogundipe, has dropped a lawsuit he filed at the
National Industrial Court to challenge his sacking by the varsity’s Governing Council.

The suit, marked NICN/LA/278/2020, had as defendants, UNILAG; the varsity’s Council; its Senate; Pro-Chancellor, Dr  Wale Babalakin (SAN); Registrar, Oladejo Azeez; and Prof. Theophilus Soyombo, who was appointed acting VC in the wake of Ogundipe’s controversial sacking. Ogundipe had filed an ex parte application, which was pending for hearing before the court.

But his lawyers, Messrs Tayo Oyetibo (SAN) and Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), approached the court on Friday with an  applicationto discontinue the case.

The Notice of Discontinuance, filed pursuant to Order 61(1) (1) of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (Civil Prpcedure) 2017, simply read, “Take Notice that the claimant doth hereby wholly discontinue this suit against the 1st-6th defendants.”

However, in a statement, titled, “Court did not refuse Prof. Ogundipe’s case,” Adegboruwa explained that the embattled VC took the decision to drop the suit “upon detailed consultation with all stakeholders and his supporters in and outside the University.”

Adegboruwa said, “Prof. Ogundipe directed his lawyers to file a notice of discontinuance of the suit and this has been done on August 21, 2020.

“This is to defer to the authority of the President as the Visitor of the University as Prof. Ogundipe has enough time to challenge his purported removal.”
