Saint Lucia Confers Honorary Knighthood on President Tinubu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been conferred with the honorary title of Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Lucia (KCOSL) during his official state visit to the Caribbean nation.

The honour was approved by the Governor General of Saint Lucia on the advice of Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, according to a statement released by the Office of the Prime Minister.
“The Government of Saint Lucia is pleased to announce that, acting on the advice of the Prime Minister, the Governor General has conferred the title of Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Lucia (KCOSL) upon His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the statement read.

Following the formal investiture, Tinubu will be officially styled: H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, KCOSL (Hon.), President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The Nigerian President arrived in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia, on Saturday, marking the first leg of his two-nation tour of the Caribbean and South America. During the visit, he paid courtesy calls to Prime Minister Pierre and Governor General Cyril Errol Melchiades Charles.

One of the highlights of the trip was President Tinubu’s address to a special joint session of Saint Lucia’s Senate and House of Assembly at the William Jefferson Clinton Ballroom in Gros Islet. In his speech, he announced the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Saint Lucia, describing it as a “symbolic bridge” to strengthen bilateral ties.
Tinubu also proposed the creation of a Joint Commission or Political Consultation Agreement to enhance cooperation between Nigeria and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

Wikes Son, Jordan, Reportedly Received $2.85 Billion In Abuja Land From Fathers Office

Wike’s Son, Jordan, Reportedly Received $2.85 Billion in Abuja Land from Father’s Office
In one of the boldest land scandals in recent history, Peoples Gazette exclusively reports that Jordan Wike, the 25-year-old son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, was allocated at least 1,740 hectares of land in Abuja — valued at roughly $2.85 billion — by his father’s office.

Many of the plots, taken from original owners under questionable claims of non-compliance, were transferred to Jordan through a shell company, Jordan Farms and Estates Ltd. This mirrors a previous Gazette report which revealed that his younger brother, Joaquin Wike, received 2,082 hectares worth $3.6 billion. Combined, the Wike brothers now control nearly 3,822 hectares of prime FCT land, with a total estimated value of $6.45 billion.

Both shell firms — Jordan Farms and Joaq Farms — were registered on the same day and share an address in Wuse II linked to Minister Wike. Land was reportedly allocated in choice areas including Maitama, Guzape, Garki, Bwari, and Sheretti Cheche.
In one striking example, a statutory fee of N807 million for land in Sheretti Cheche was cut to N100 million — with only N10 million reportedly paid.

Peoples Gazette also found links between Mr. Wike and two other shell firms — Hyper Communications Ltd and Hyper Station Ltd — tied to the same address. Land records, WhatsApp messages, and internal memos suggest Wike personally oversaw many of these allocations.

Though Wike’s spokesman, Lere Olayinka, denied any wrongdoing and claimed coincidence, pick-up logs and internal correspondence appear to contradict his defense.
Senior FCT officials warn the scandal may exceed abuses under previous ministers. While President Tinubu has reportedly ordered a probe, no public update has been given. Anti-corruption agencies say they’re monitoring but may not act while Wike remains in office.

Osimhen Set To Return To Napoli But Reportedly Banished From The First Team To Join Youth Team

Osimhen Set to Return to Napoli but Reportedly Banished from the First Team to Join Youth Team
Victor Osimhen has been instructed to report to Napoli for pre-season training following the conclusion of his loan at Galatasaray, where he enjoyed a stellar campaign, scoring 37 goals and assisting six to help the Turkish giants secure a league and cup double.
Despite speculation over his future, the Nigerian striker is expected at Napoli’s training camp on July 14–15 unless a transfer materialises before then. So far, only Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia has met his €75 million release clause, but Osimhen reportedly declined their offer, casting doubt on a summer move.
Napoli will begin their pre-season with medicals before heading to Dimaro, Trentino-Alto Adige for training from July 17–27. They will then continue preparations in Castel di Sangro from July 30 to August 14 after a two-day break.
However, new head coach Antonio Conte has made it clear that Osimhen is not part of his plans for the upcoming season. The 26-year-old will train separately from the main squad and will not participate in any tactical or technical sessions. Instead, he will maintain his fitness by working with the club’s youth team — a situation reminiscent of last season when he was sent home from camp amid transfer uncertainty.
