Why I Haven’t Been To Church In A Year — Christian Lady
~0.4 mins read

A Christian lady has revealed why she has not been to church in a year.

She said she left church because of the continuous embarrassment and backlash she was getting. She added that every dress she wore was tagged indecent .

There was a day she decided to get some dresses and she was happy wearing one of them, only for her to be called an embarrassment and a wrong influence to the young ones. She could not survive 30 minutes in that church. It’s a year told and she believes God does not reject his own.

Microsoft Unveils New 'Copilot+ PCs' With AI Features—Here’s What You Need To Know
~1.5 mins read

Microsoft (MSFT) announced a new category of Windows PCs designed for artificial intelligence (AI) called Copilot+ PCs at an event Monday, ahead of the company's developer conference, Microsoft Build, on Tuesday. The company is expected to provide more details at the conference.

"Copilot+ PCs are the fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever built," the company said in a release, adding that "Copilot+ PCs will enable you to do things you can’t on any other PC."

Microsoft said Copilot+ PCs will be offered through Microsoft's Surface line as well as its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners including Dell Technologies (DELL), Lenovo, Samsung, HP (HPQ), Acer, and Asus. Microsoft said that Copilot+ PCs, which are priced starting at $999, can be pre-ordered starting Monday and will become available June 18. The devices will run on Qualcomm (QCOM) chips.

Microsoft said the Windows AI PCs "outperform Apple’s MacBook Air by up to 58% in sustained multithreaded performance, all while delivering all-day battery life." Apple (AAPL) announced a new iPad model powered by the recently released M4 chip earlier in the month, in the iPhone maker's push into AI devices.

Microsoft's Copilot, which is "connected to and enhanced by the large language models (LLMs) running in our Azure Cloud in concert with small language models (SLMs)," is capable of running AI workloads through neural processor units (NPUs) built into the tech.

Microsoft also announced a feature called "Recall" that allows users to virtually access everything seen or done on the computer "in a way that feels like having photographic memory." The company said that the new PCs would have access to OpenAI's latest model GPT-4o as well.

Microsoft shares closed1.2% higher at $425.34 Monday, contributing to the stock's gain of over 13% since the start of the year.

S&P 500 Gains And Losses Today: Norwegian Cruise Soars On Guidance, Strategy Update
~2.6 mins read

Major U.S. equities indexes were mixed to open the trading week. In the days ahead, quarterly results from semiconductor giant Nvidia (NVDA) could provide a gauge of progress toward the artificial intelligence (AI) boom, while minutes from the latest Federal Reserve meeting could offer insight into the ongoing battle against inflation.

The S&P 500 ticked 0.1% higher on Monday. The Nasdaq jumped 0.7% to notch a record closing high. The Dow dropped 0.5%, receding below Friday's record and the 40,000-point milestone it achieved for the first time.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) shares sailed 7.6% higher, marking Monday's top performance among S&P 500 stocks. The company lifted its full-year profit guidance, highlighting strong demand. Norwegian also introduced a new strategy aimed at enhancing its position as a market leader in vacation experiences, on land as well as at sea. The positive outlook also helped buoy other cruise operators' stocks—shares of Carnival Corp. (CCL) and Royal Caribbean Cruises (RCL) were up 7.2% and 4.1%, respectively.

Moderna (MRNA) shares added 6.1% after the vaccine manufacturer reported the European Patent Office confirmed the validity of one of the company's key patents. The decision handed Moderna a legal victory in a conflict with Pfizer (PFE) and BioNTech (BNTX) over its mRNA technology, which Moderna alleges the other firms copied as they developed their version of the COVID-19 vaccine. The competitors maintained that Moderna's patent is invalid, and Pfizer said it may appeal the decision.

Shares of automated testing equipment maker Teradyne (TER) gained 5.8% after Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock to "buy" and boosted its price target. According to the analysts, Teradyne could benefit from a recovery in its system-on-chip and robotics division, while its high-bandwidth memory products could provide opportunities for new growth.

Jabil (JBL) shares jumped 5.2% after the electronics design and engineering firm announced CEO Kenneth Wilson is leaving the company following an investigation related to corporate policies. Jabil also withdrew its guidance for fiscal 2025, pointing to the executive shakeup, but stressed the investigation will not have an impact on its financial reporting.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) shares suffered the heaviest losses in the S&P 500 on Monday, sinking 4.5% as the financial giant held its investor day. Executives pointed to geopolitical tensions and stickier-than-expected inflation as factors affecting performance, indicating the bank could face ups and downs in its net interest income (NII) over the coming quarters. CEO Jamie Dimon also said JPMorgan would not authorize stock buybacks at current prices and discussed the possibility he might retire within five years.

Shares of Chubb (CB) sank 3.7%, giving back a portion of the strong gains posted on Thursday and Friday after Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) revealed it had accumulated a $6.72 billion stake in the property and casualty insurer. Although Berkshire began purchasing Chubb shares last year, the position remained confidential until Buffet's firm disclosed the investment in its quarterly 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last week.

Dollar Tree (DLTR) shares dropped 3.3% ahead of the discount retailer's earnings report, which is set to be released on Thursday. When the company most recently reported financial results, it announced plans to shutter up to around 1,000 locations and boost base prices on products in its stores to $1.50.

Gold And Silver ETFs Shine As Precious Metals Prices Surge
~1.5 mins read

Gold and silver exchange-traded funds gained on Monday as the underlying metals surged to new highs.

Prices for gold bullion (GOLD) topped $2,450 for the first time on Monday, while silver (SILVER) was trading at its highest level in 11 years, around $32

Precious metals have been boosted by geopolitical tensions and weakness in the U.S. dollar after benign inflation data in the U.S. last week boosted hopes that the Federal Reserve could be in a position to consider cutting its benchmark interest rate.

That's good news for exchange-traded funds that hold gold and silver.

SPDR Gold Shares ETF (GLD)—the oldest and largest ETF backed by physical gold, with $64.8 billion in assets at the end of last week—rose 0.4% Monday and has gained 17.5% so far this year. Shares in another popular gold ETF, the iShares Gold Trust (IAU), also gained 0.4% Monday and are up 17.6% in 2024.

In recent months, gold prices have been rising, propped up to a large extent by central bank purchases, especially from China.

Early in the year, investors were pulling money out of gold ETFs, according to analysis from the World Gold Council. However, the recent rally in gold prices may have helped turn the tide in favor of the yellow metal, with North American gold ETFs recording net inflows in March and April after massive outflows in the first two months of the year.

Silver ETFs were also higher after an increase in the price of the underlying precious metal.

The iShares Physical Silver Trust (SLV), with $12.4 billion in assets, gained 0.7% on the day and are up 33% since the start of the year as retail investors look for diversification.
