Some rare photos of WWII
1. A Jewish prisoner released from a concentration camp carries a Nazi, a former guardian of the camp, at gunpoint.

4. This photo was taken in August 1941, when Hitler's right-hand man, Heinrich Himmler, visited a prison camp in Minsk, USSR.
5. Rudolf Höss was the architect and commander of the Auschwitz concentration camp, the legendary site of thousands of deaths. Although he was hanged next to the death camp crematorium, guards who were present later commented that the execution did not seem enough to make up for the countless atrocities Hoss orchestrated during the war.
