Manchester United have reacted to the heavy 6-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur by signing Uruguay international Edinson Cavani and FC Porto left back Alex Telles.

The Red Devils have struggled to add new players to their squad with the the transfer deadline set to close on Monday. Dutch international, Donny Van Beek remains Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's only signing for the season.

However, reports from England reveal that Cavani, who is a free agent has agreed to join the Red Devils. The former Paris Saint German striker will earn €10m-a-year at Man United while the club would pay a little less than €10m for the agent's fee.

Telles will sign a five-year contract with Manchester United. Fee is €15m plus €3m in add-ons. Both players are expected to have their medicals at Old Trafford and announcement set for tomorrow.

Manchester United have made a poor start to the 2020/2021 premier league season, having lost twice against Crystal Palace and Tottenham at home and narrowly won against Brighton 3-2.
