VOLUME 2

It is so amazing when I watch people arguing and making presentations in favour     or  against, debating; trying to shut down the other person so that our points will scale through. Sometimes these arguments almost ends up in fights; why? Because that is what we are good at, and known for; not for the fighting though, but for talking, counter talking, arguing and counter arguing, no action to correct the wrong, and set things on the right path.

Our community is in this state, because we all collaborated with those in-charge due to our own greed for now! without putting the future into utmost consideration. All we think of, is-
'What can I or we, get from the current situation' as if that solves everything. We fail to realise that whatever we do, now or which side of the divide we decide to pitch our tent; will either hunt or favour us in future. These things have a way of getting back at us.

Is it not better for our generation unborn to smile down on us for putting the right things in place, than for them to raise curses for creating a banana republic? An American will always talk good of its past generation for laying down the right foundation, which they are all reaping from, and being the envy of other nations.

Bad leadership in Africa, is a phenomenum, common to both a democratic setting or military regime. The truth  is that we aided them into power, and allowed them to strive due to our own greed without putting the general wellbeing into consideration. On regular basis, these corrupt and ego-centric politicians entice and buy over support with peanuts. Once they are elected, their first priority is to recoup with interest, all monetary gifts. This is the reason, even in the event of bad leadership and open looting; you will still see those that are ever ready to defend the cause of these self-centred, manipulative and corrupt officials.

The very corrupt elite in power are becoming more daring; openly and massively looting the treasury without blinking an eyelid.

We are  in an era of 'grab as much as you can carry',  at every given opportunity. In the past, the volume of looting wasn't these much and corrupt activities were masked under contracts and projects. These days, they do it with so much audacity; even those assigned as watch dogs are not left behind, in the rat race. I strongly hope we are not creating, by our action or in-action, a banana republic.

We can change these narratives, if we decide to, the power and will to do that is not far-fetched. In reality if we don't decide to do the needful it will  remain a permanent feature in our history thereby enriching the very few and impoverish the majority. Our refusal to change the narratives will continue to deny justice to the just. The time is now to rewrite the wrongs of those that have gone ahead of us on a faulty footing. We must take the bull by the horn to ensure we lay a better foot print for those coming behind us.

How can we the majority, with the numbers as our strength, allow a few run down our community, nation and continent? We must make use of our numerical advantage, and insist on a new order. A new order that will usher in justice for all, equality before all men, availability of all needed social amenities; just to mention a few.

These are three quick action points to kick start the new order but they are not exclusive:
 Resist all military juntas, massively.
 During elections, align yourselves with the 'real' reformers and progressives.
 Speak out, resist oppression.

These steps if aggressively pursued will definitely change the current  narratives and set a new order.
